Welcome to the World of Warcraft

My favorite game of all time would have to be World of Warcraft!  This is a fantastic game. The graphics are great and smooth, the content is rich and constantly being updated, and the game can run on almost any connection type witch is also great!  What I also love about this game is that it's not just computer geeks (and yes I put myself in that category) that play this game.  My Brother-in-law(in-law) plays the game almost as much as I do and he's now geek.

I'm also fortunate to have gotten a couple of other friends into the game,  Roger is a close friend of mine who I got in a few months ago and now WoW has totaly taken over his life.  He's always on with one of his many characters, grinding away, helping others and forming online friendships with people.  He is one of the most awesome WoW players I know.

Cailib is another friend of mine who is just starting out in WoW.  They were round at our place last night and I was showing him around some of the places and features of WoW.  He went stright home and started installing the game.  Personaly I think he's going to be another powerhouse in the game!!!

And then there is Alex.  Alex is the reason that I am  playing the game.  He showed me the game one night at his place so bought it and have never looked back since!!!

So IF your interested in the game this is where I am at with my characters currently:

    CraZZySyfen
    - Level 57 Human Palidin
    - Bloodscalp (PvP)
    - OMEGA Guild

    SyfenCrazzy
    - Level 8 Night Elf Druid
    - Bloodscalp (PvP)

    CrzaaenZeus
    - Level 9 Dwarf Hunter
    - Bloodscalp (PvP)
    - OMEGA Guild

    Crazzenhoof
    - Level 15 Taruen Sharman
    - Jubei'Thos (PvP)

    FiteMe
    - Level 8 Orc Warrior
    - Jubei'Thos (PvP)

So if your in any of these realms, drop me a line and we'll go a hunting!!!!!!

    Pushing for Level 50!

This weekend past I got together with some friends for a LAN,  it's been a couple of months since we have all got together so it was really great to catch-up with everyone.  It was really good to see Mathew Sayers who I have not really caught up with for over 12 months.

Unfortunatly we didn't get too many group games in, however Roger and I did spend quite a number of hours playing World of Warcraft and trying to beat up the players on the other side (we we're quite successfull in that regards) and I am very happy that I now have a Level 47 Paliddin.  Paliddin's are holy warriors that cast blessings and weild big two handded maces to purly 'kick-ass'.  So with having hit level 47 over the weekend I am now pushing my focus to moving my Paliddin to Level 50!

    It's Arranged: December LAN Party

It's been a couple of months since my LAN buddies and I have gotten together for a weekend of Fragging, Flying and just general maheym.  But we have just locked down Friday the 2nd of Dec to Sunday the 4th for an all out LAN weekend.  Having been distracted by World of Warcraft (it's still my favorite game!) I have not paid attention to the games that have been coming out lately.  Even Quake 4 slipped by me, so hopefully this LAN will help me catch up on what games are now out there!

New Server, New Guild, New Character

As everyone knows I am heavily into playing the a game called World of Warcraft.  This is a internet based game where you choose a race and a class then pit yourself the other side and quests.  For the past few months I have have been playing on the Proudmoore Server (a Player vs. Environment server) and I have been getting greif from Derrek for not playing on Blackrock (a Player vs. Player server), I have put a lot of time into building my current character (a level 43 Paladin) which makes this choice even harder.  So, after much debate I am moving to Blackrock to start a new set of characters tonight and form a new guild.  This is going to be painfull as I have to start my characters again, but it brings the advantage that I am in a guild of people I know and we are looking at implimenting a new system of building our characters.

I am also going to put together a colloboration site for our guild members, i'll post the URL after I have created the site.

    WoW Advertising

Last night I was not feeling so too well so I spent the night crashed on the couch watching TV, while watching FOX8's 'Dead Like Me' (fantastic show btw) i saw the best World of Warcraft add.  I didn't know they were advertising on TV but it was quite good.

My wife Olivia just looked at me and remarked on the sparkel in my eye "Your feeling better!", then the add was over and I once again crashed to the couch!

    WoW Rare Pets

Being a WoW player I just had to put this one up (Thanks to G4TV:Cheat)

LIL' TIMMY: Lil’ Timmy is one of the game’s best pet dealers. Timmy doesn’t spawn often, but when he does, he wanders the streets of Stormwind trying to sell his one and only white kitten. This animal costs sixty silvers, but can be sold for five gold.

Even we couldn’t determine exactly when Timmy materializes, but we discovered that he spawns at the end of the canal between Old Town and the Trade District in Stormwind. You can camp at the bridge between the two districts and work on your fishing skill while you wait for him to come by.

Once Lil’ Timmy appears he wanders along the canal outside Old Town and Dwarven District. If you don’t catch him before he passes through Cathedral Square and turns right, poof!--he’ll be gone....

TINY CRIMSON WHELPLING: This beastie must be farmed from the gameworld. Your grinding begins in the Eastern Wetlands where you have to kill Crimson, Red and Flamesnorting whelps to find the drop. The drop rate of Tiny Crimson Whelplings is about one in a thousand (we got ours in 30 minutes). These little guys are worth much more then their weight in gold. If you decide to sell your rare pet, he’ll fetch about 40 gold pieces at auction.

TINY EMERALD WELPLING: In the southwest corner of the Swamp of Sorrows you’ll find Dreaming Whelps. Farm these badboys long enough and eventually they’ll drop a Tiny Emerald Whelpling.

    Battle Grounds Released!

I just got a notification from my RSS feeds not 10 minutes ago that the World of Warcraft patch that everyone has been waiting for has at last been relased.  BattleGrounds is the latest patch from Blizzard for World of Warcraft and allows users to face-off against each other within two seperate arena's.

The First is the Alteric Valley and is targeted to level 51 - 60 players, allowing 30 - 40 players in each instance.

The Second is Warsong Gulch and is broken into three groups allowing lower level players to gain expereince in battlegrounds (and that's a good thing).

This is a great addition to the game and I think that the WoW servers are really going to struggle with the instance loads as everyone is going to be wanting to play battlegrounds.

    Blamed for a friends happiness!

As I mentioned on Friday, I thought it might be nice if I introduced my friend Roger to the World of Warcraft.  For those of you who haven't heard of the game, World of Warcraft (WoW) is an internet based game where you take on a character role with certain abilities and skills, then choose 'quests' to skill up where by you might be able to beat the crap out of the other players in the game.

So taking an early friday afternoon, I got Roger to pick me up from work and we headed back to my place to begin the WoW contest.  We started at 5pm and we're still going at 3:30am the next morning (with only one stop for beer and pizza, Thank you Olivia!).  Grabbing a few hours sleep we then started into it again.  Needless to say Roger now hates me for ruining his life (lol).

Another good note to the weekend was that I at last got a chance to talk to some of the guys from my guild using TeamSpeak, and we're now talking about putting together a sponsored LAN on the Gold Coast in a few months time.
